「World’s 3 most popular comics and animes?…DRAGON BALL・ONE PIECE・NARUTO?」
Which comics and animes do you really like?
I guess it depends on the ones you had been seeing much during from your kid to student age.
Additionally I feel the design and the pattern of anime have especially been changed and it may affect us.

In this article I write my 3 favorite comics and animes.
1. DEATH NOTE

The time is 2003 in Japan. The main character Light Yagami called Kira happened to pick DEATH NOTE which Death God Ryuk dropped at the human world and whose ability is to be able to kill the person whose name is written on it and tried to create new world without evil but only with kind people by killing criminals all over the world. And L the greatest detective in the world and his successors trying to capture Light were fighting in their mind against him.
It’s different from the general battle ones and the reason why it’s interesting is that many negotiations and tricks come from their smart brains. It was too difficult for me to stop reading because of its attractiveness. My study went well maybe because Light’s age was almost same as me then.
Although the elements of DEATH NOTE and Death God are unreal, I felt like familiar with it maybe because Light grew up like from sudents to social worker, which is a general Japanese growing step in real world and the story was advancing along with him.
I like the movie (first 2 ones) as well because actors were matched well and the last scene was different from the original work but it got me to feel very comfortable on it.
The main character is dark side and it has different taste compared to DRAGON BALL, ONE PIECE and NARUTO etc, so I recommend it.
2. D.Gray-man

In imaginary 19th century’s Europe, evil weapon Akuma and its manufacturer The Millenium Earl tried to make the world end. The main character Allen Walker one of Exorcists who conformed to the god’s crystal Innocence which can be weapon against them and his comrades fought against them.
Although I like the fight scene I especially like the world view, characters, and design and pattern of characters, clothes and city views. Thanks to this work I got interested in Europe. I also like the dark atmosphere of it which I think is the one other works don’t have.
From the beginning many mysteries are inlaid and as the story goes they start to be revealed. That’s why I’m looking forward to it every time (it has been serialized even now).
Anime was over in the middle of the story, so I hope it will be revived.
3. BLEACH

The main character Ichigo Kurosaki living in Japan received the power of Soul Reaper from Rukia Kuchiki who had come from spiritual world Soul Society to defeat the evil spirit hollow attacking humans and he started to fight against various enemies including hollow with his comrades.
It’s is very interesting because the existences of Soul Reaper being in the world after death and hollow are unreal and rare to humans. The concept on life-and-death is different from other works and interesting. However the most attractive point of it is that all characters have their own features like appearances, personalities and weapons etc.
I like the first anime movie 「MEMORIES OF NOBODY」 as well. It made me consider many things including life-and-death. I was moved and impressed especially with the last heartrending scene combined with the theme song (Aqua Timez, 「千の夜をこえて」).
I’m excited to the new anime series of final chapter in 2022.
Finally
I wrote my 3 favorite comics and animes DEATH NOTE, D.Gray-man and BLEACH this time. I often see them repeatedly even now. It’s my pleasure if someone sympathizes with me.
